trip to Brussels Travel to Brussels pt.1 pt.2

Hostel

Finding a place to sleep is always a sensitive issue, you know.
In this case, however, our choice fell immediately on a smiling youth hostel: Gite d'Etape - Youth Hostel Jacques Brel . Why? Easy: it was cute, cheap, well located, with breakfast included and private bathroom. But above all, it was recommended by ( Zinga ) guides.

first impression? Excellent!

  1. really The hostel is close to the metro (Madou) and the staff is friendly and smiling.
  2. You never stop to save! Since we are under 26 each to pay 18.50 night instead of 21.50. Tie.
  3. We climb and ... incredible! Perhaps for the first time the chamber corresponds perfectly to our requests. Book : room with bath. Room: room with bath. We now hope to stay there for all 4 nights. What do we mean? Brief period.

Paris.
Book: bedroom with bathroom.
Room # 1: Double room with bidet view (right at the foot of the bed) and water in the corridor.
Room # 2: Double without bath or bidet.

Berlin.
Book: bedroom with bathroom.
Room # 1: dormitory with six beds and a bathroom Empire. I agree that it is only for us, but what exactly do we do with a room with six beds?! Acrobatic sex?
Room # 2: (obtained after numerous complaints) double with bathroom)

Unfortunately, in Brussels, our traveling companions were not so lucky.
Book: bedroom with bathroom.
Room # 1: Double without bathroom with dirty sheets and roll - following complaints.
Room # 2: double with bath (dirty) adorned with used tissues and apples smangiucchiate - following complaints.
Receptionist prey to panic "Do not come back before 20, right?"
Room # 2 becomes: double with bath (almost) clean.

And the breakfast is? Good, and plenty of energy!

An incident worthy of note? Of course! You know the times of the class trip, the ones where you choose with care the room farthest from the professor for carousing until 3 in the morning between smoking, alcohol and music? Well, it so happens that some nice youngsters chose their own the room next to us in the adorable rave. Poor children, they are still close enough in high school we understand them all right, but count the hours of sleep we were forced to intervene.
"Party is over. You have to move to Another room. Now. "

garbage and related

Hands up who thinks the European Capital is not neat and pint. No hand raised? Evil! Also, we would have bet a barrel of Gueuze and, unfortunately for us (see Brussels pt.1) we would have lost.
Brussels is dirty. Very dirty. Filthy.
compared Naples is the home of Mr. Clean.
Do not believe us? Following photographic reportage. Not limited to, alas, but it is a good introduction.
